A Little About Rachel

Rachel is a social worker who is passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ community — a community she is also proudly part of.

In sessions, Rachel strives to foster a safe environment where anything can be brought up without any judgment. She has been described as a calming presence and someone who is easy to talk to. It can be difficult to reach out for support in general, but it can be even more so for BIPOC individuals and those who are living with chronic pain and/or chronic illness. Rachel takes great care to make sessions a comfortable place to be authentically who you are.

In addition to supporting the LGBTQ+ community, she also enjoys working with adults who are living with chronic pain and/or chronic illness, experiencing challenges related to intersectional identities as an LGBTQ+ individual, adjusting to major life changes, having work or college-related concerns, and facing challenges related to mood and anxiety. Rachel pulls from multiple modalities, and often utilizes Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with clients to help them identify and work through ambivalence to change and learn new ways to cope with stressors.
